As Pagans, we never lack a reason to celebrate. With eight Sabbats and thirteen Esbats, we have a lot of occasions to remember. At one point, I bought a fancy planner from a craft store. (Of course, I used a 40% off coupon.) However since I forgot to use it most of the time, it wasn’t very helpful to me. Now, I put a month overview calendar on the refrigerator every month. It’s in plain sight and anyone can add events. It helps me remember the moon phases and upcoming holidays. I want to share my July 2019 printable calendar here, in case you might find it helpful as well.
While we do not have a Sabbat this month, there are two new moons. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, July’s full moon is known as the Buck Moon in honor of the new antlers that emerge on male deer at this time of year. It is also called the Thunder Moon because this time of year is known for thunderstorms. I personally prefer using Thunder Moon, but that is just my personal preference.
We have two secular holidays in July. July 1st is Canada Day. It celebrates the effective date of the Constitution Act of 1867. It joined together three separate colonies in Canada to form a single Dominion. July 4th is U.S. Independence Day. It commemorates signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Don’t forget that we have Lughnasadh coming up on August 1st. If you have little ones, I have a free Lammas maze printable available. I will post the August calendar printable before the end of July.
